Prepare to scream in the Halloween episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (October 27), topbilled by seasoned singer-actress Manilyn Reynes. Manilyn will play the role of Anna a mother and wife, whose third eye is open.

Anna’s happy married life started to suffer when she confessed her extra-ordinary ability to her husband Sonny (Gio Alvarez). Granting her husband’s request, Anna tried her best to live a normal life and ignore her third eye. But everything changed when Anna’s husband and youngest son started to see the spirits and feel the souls around them. How is it for a family to live with their third eyes opened? 



Together with Manilyn and Gio in MMK’s horror episode are Neil Coleta, Barbie Sabino, Auriette Divina, Liz Alindogan, Jong Cuenco, Koreen Medina, Gerald Pesigan, Gelo Echaluce, and Ingrid Dela Paz. It was researched by Alexandra Mae Martin, written by Mark Duane Angos, and directed by Dado Lumibao.

Precious Hearts Romances: Hiyas Premieres this May 28 on Kapamilya Gold

Another Precious Hearts Romances series will captivate the hearts of viewers this May 28 with the premiere of  PHR presents Hiyas starring megan Young and Zanjoe Marudo. The said teleserye is the 15th installment of the PHR series that will air on Kapamilya Gold.


Precious Hearts Romances: Hiyas is the first fantasy action adventure TV adaptation from the serial which commonly supports romance and love stories. This is based on Sofia's Silang and directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and Theodore Boborol.

Also starring  Mercedes Cabral, Neri Naig, Tetchie Agbayani, Tricia Santos, Edward Mendez, Jong Cuenco, Angel Jacob, Sharmaine Suarez, John Arcilla, Nonie Buencamino, Allan Paule and Lemuel Pelayo, Hiyas will bring even more heat to your afternoon screens.

Here is the synopsis of Hiyas:
Silang (Zanjoe Marudo) is a native warrior from the tribe of Tanah. He wants to marry his childhood sweetheart Giana (Mercedes Cabral) to unite their warring clans. But the family of Giana has one condition: Silang has to find and bring back the missing Gem of Tanah that gives luck and prosperity to their people. There is only one person who can help Silang find and get the Gem. She’s none other than Sapphire (Megan Young), the beautiful and charming city girl who Silang’s avoiding. Though he doesn’t want to, Silang is forced to partner with her, who is more than willing to help as her heart is close to the people of Tanah. While they are searching for the Gem, Silang and Sapphire are drawn closer to each other. Eventually, the Gem falls in Silang’s hands as he falls in love with Sapphire. But what about Giana? What about their wedding and his promise to her and their clans? What punishment is waiting for Silang and Sapphire as they bring the Gem back to the tribe of Tanah? Until when would they stand up for their "forbidden love?"

Lesbian and Gay Sibling Portrayed on MMK This April 14

While the issue on third sex remains to be a sensitive topic in the Philippines, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” is going to cater the life story of a gay named Bonsai (Janus del Prado) and his quest for acceptance this Saturday (April 14).

After finally having the guts to admit to his family that he is gay, Bonsai left for Manila to live the life that he had always wanted and forget the pains that his family has given him. As he enjoys the freedom of expressing his sexuality, Bonsai became shocked and terrified with the sight of his youngest sister Lencie (Trina Legaspi) as a lesbian. With the fear of seeing his sister experience what he has been through, how will Bonsai protect Lencie from the discrimination and judgment of their family? Will the siblings ever get the acceptance and approval of their own family?

The “MMK” episode also includes Sharmaine Suarez, Gloria Sevilla, Ismael Clavero, Kyline Alcantara, Jong Cuenco, CJ Navato, Simon Ibarra, and Amante Pulido. It was researched by Alexndra Mae Martin, written by Benson Logronio and directed by Nuel Naval.
