PGT Season 4 Quarterfinals Begin this April 6; Finalists Battle for 12 Semi-finals Slot

Posted on April 5, 2013 | 8:22 AM

Exciting new acts ranging from car drifting, synchronized swimming, motor stunts, flairtending, and dog tricks made it to this season’s “Pilipinas Got Talent” top 36 acts that will compete in the much-awaited quarterfinals of the country’s biggest and grandest talent-reality search on television.

Light dancer All In One Crew (photo) faces The Security and Escort Battalion Combo of the Philippine Army; arnis stunt act Segutier Triplets; gay singers The Miss Tres; magician Marvin Arquero; and flairtender Chaeremon Basa in PGT 4 1st quarterfinals round

The 36 quarterfinalists are composed of 14 dance acts; seven singing acts; three musical acts; and 12 variety/novelty acts that include various stunts, outdoor acts, magic acts, and a whole lot more.

Aside from welcoming a variety of new acts this season, PGT 4 also proved to be the biggest PGT edition yet as the show conducted worldwide and online auditions. Among those who auditioned abroad via TFCkat, two of them made it through namely Russel Figueroa of Canada and Cris Bernardo of Dubai (Click here to see all 36 quarterfinalists).

First to battle it out for the judges’ and viewers’ votes this Saturday (April 6) in the first quarterfinals match are The Security and Escort Battalion Combo of the Philippine Army; light dancer All In One Crew; arnis stunt act Segutier Triplets; gay singers The Miss Tres; magician Marvin Arquero; and flairtender Chaeremon Basa. Who will make it as the first set of semi-finalists?

The competition is definitely tougher now as PGT enters the quarterfinals. Judge Ai Ai Delas Alas was first to express how high her expectations are on all 36 quarterfinalists. In a VTR, she quipped “Lahat sila ineexpect naming maglevel up.”

Meanwhile, since voting season is about to begin for PGT, judges Kris Aquino and Freddie “FMG” Garcia appealed to the viewers to vote for the acts that deserve to make it through the next round of the competition.

“Kung favorite niyo at gusto niyo talaga manalo, gastusan sana ninyo,” Kris said.

“Sa inyong boboto, sana piliin niyo talaga kung sino may talent,” added FMG.

Don’t miss the first quarterfinals performance night of “Pilipinas Got Talent 4,” hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, this Saturday (Apr 6), after “MMK,” and first quarterfinals results night this Sunday (Apr 7), after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN.
