Kim Chiu Topbills Wansapanataym Month-long Special 'My Fair Kasambahay' this September

Kapamilya primetime princess Kim Chiu will take kids and families to a magical, funny, and lesson-filled adventure this September as she stars the newest month-long special of “Wansapanataym” titled ‘My Fairy Kasambahay.’

From her remarkable portrayals in top-rating primetime drama series such as “Ina Kapatid Anak” and “My Binondo Girl,” and the blockbuster movie “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo,” Kim will return to the small screen next month via “Wansapanataym” as the spoiled brat named Elyza who is set to learn the value of respecting house helpers.

Joining Kim in “Wansapanataym Presents My Fairy Kasambahay” are Angel Aquino, John ‘Sweet’ Lapus, Shamaine Buencamino, Miguel Vergara, Arnold Reyes, and Simon Ibarra. It is written by Cris Lim and Arlene Tamayo, and directed by Jerry Sineneng.

11th Gawad Tanglaw for Movies 2013 Winners: Zanjoe Marudo is Best Supporting Actor

The winners of the 11th Gawad Tanglaw Awards for Movies (2013) have been revealed and Zanjoe Marudo won Best Supporting Actor, his first for the movie One More Try. The Kapamilya actor tied with Allen Dizon for his role in Migrante.

Meanwhile, Jericho Rosales added another feather on his cap after winning the Best Actor award for the movie Alagwa (Breakaway). His portrayal in the said internationally-acclaimed movie also won for him this year's Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy.

Tied with Echo as Best Actor is Dingdong Dantes, who has been collecting acting trophies for his performance in the movie One More Try. The 2013 Gawad Tanglaw Best Actress award went to no less than Nora Aunor of Thy Womb.

Nora Aunor, Eddie Garcia Win Top Acting Plums at the 7th Asian Film Awards (2013)

Nora Aunor and Eddie Garcia won top acting awards at the 7th Asian Film Awards held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday, March 18 after their respective wins in the 6th Asia Pacific Screen Awards and the 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival.

Nora Aunor was hailed Best Actress for her performance in the internationally-acclaimed Thy Womb helmed by Brillante Mendoza while Eddie Garcia won Best Actor for his role in Bwakaw, the Philippines' official entry to the 2013 Oscars.

Nora bested the likes of Cho Min-soo (South Korea), Golshifteh Farahani (Afghanistan), Gwei Lun-Mei (Taiwan), and Hao Lei (China) for the award while Eddie Garcia, who also won People's Choice for Best Actor beat other nominees for Best Actor Joseph Chang (Taiwan), Choi Min-sik (South Korea), Tony Leung Ka-fai (Hong Kong), and Liu Ye (China).

Last year, Eugene Domingo (Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank) won People's Choice for Best Actress in the 6th edition of the Asian Film Awards. Shamaine Buencamino, meanwhile, bagged the Best Supporting Actress in the same edition.

It was the first time that the Philippines bagged both the Best Actor and Best Actress awards in Asian Film Awards, dubbed as the Asian Oscars. Gina Pareño is the first Filipino to win an award in the said Hong Kong based award-giving body, bagging the Best Supporting Actress trophy in 2009 for her performance in Brillante Mendoza‘s Serbis.

'May Isang Pangarap' Premieres January 21 on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold

ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated drama series “May Isang Pangarap,” topbilled by Carmina Villarroel, Vina Morales and two of Kapamilya network’s newest child wonders Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base, will finally premiere this Monday (January 21), 2:45pm, after “It’s Showtime.”

In the series, afternoon viewers will discover the touching stories of two talented kids Larah (Larah Claire) and Julia (Julia Klarisse), who will both use their gift of singing to reach their dreams. It will also unravel the secrets of Nessa (Carmina) and Kare (Vina) whose lives will be intertwined by their daughters.
