Ariella Arida Appears on Venus Raj MMK (November 16)

Maalaala Mo Kaya will empower TV viewers this Saturday (November 16) as it retells the life story of Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj. Discover the trials that Venus had to go through before she represented the Philippines in the international beauty pageant.

How did she deal with the public’s criticisms about her dusky complexion and rise above the nasty bullying at school and in the ‘real world?’ Where did Venus derive her strength to overcome her bad childhood experience? 

Together with Venus in “MMK” are Amy Nobleza, Malou de Guzman, Perla Bautista, Simon Ibarra, Mariel Pamintuan, Kelly Misa, Gio Alvarez, and Linn Oeymo. Also don't miss the cameo appearance of Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner up Ariella Arida as one of the contestants in the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

Kim Chiu Topbills Wansapanataym Month-long Special 'My Fair Kasambahay' this September

Kapamilya primetime princess Kim Chiu will take kids and families to a magical, funny, and lesson-filled adventure this September as she stars the newest month-long special of “Wansapanataym” titled ‘My Fairy Kasambahay.’

From her remarkable portrayals in top-rating primetime drama series such as “Ina Kapatid Anak” and “My Binondo Girl,” and the blockbuster movie “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo,” Kim will return to the small screen next month via “Wansapanataym” as the spoiled brat named Elyza who is set to learn the value of respecting house helpers.

Joining Kim in “Wansapanataym Presents My Fairy Kasambahay” are Angel Aquino, John ‘Sweet’ Lapus, Shamaine Buencamino, Miguel Vergara, Arnold Reyes, and Simon Ibarra. It is written by Cris Lim and Arlene Tamayo, and directed by Jerry Sineneng.

Well-acclaimed actresses Desiree del Valle and Andi Eigenmann will topbill “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (May 25) as they take on the roles of cousins Jane (Desiree) and Lyka (Andi).

From being close buddies, the cousins’ relationship started to change when Jane discovered that Lyka was working as an escort girl. Despite their disagreements, Jane did everything to help Lyka choose the right path. However, Lyka’s life worsened even more as she became addicted to drugs and got impregnated by a family man. Can Jane still find it in her heart to give Lyka a second chance? Or will she finally give up on her?

Before 2012 draws to a close, ABS-CBN’s top-rating drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” will treat TV viewers with a heartwarming dramatic episode this Saturday (December 29) topbilled by award-winning actress Shaina Magdayao ang promising Kapamilya actor Bryan Santos. 

“MMK” will share the touching story of undying love of Enez (Shaina) and Marvin (Bryan) who conquered almost everything to keep their marriage intact and love for each other alive.

Instead of having their dream church wedding, Enez and Marvin just had a civil wedding because Enez became pregnant at a time when they were still financially unstable. The two started building dreams as a family but in the process, Enez’s strength and character were put to test when Marvin suffered paralysis on different parts of his body and later on got comatose. Despite the misfortunes, Enez never left her husband. 

Together with Shaina and Bryan in “MMK” this Saturday are Arlene Muhlach, Yayo Aguila, Emilio Garcia, Blythe Brillantes, Simon Ibarra, Shy Carlos, Jojit Lorenzo and Paco Evangelista. Karylle Lands Another International Project via Singapore's 'Point of Entry'

Karylle in top-rating Singaporean action drama series Point of EntryKapamilya singer-actress Karylle has landed another international TV project after the smash hit The Kitchen Musical. Karylle is slated to have a guest role in the international television series Point of Entry which airs in Singapore's MediaCorp Channel 5.

Karylle flew to Singapore last September 20 to shoot for the said series. According to Push.com, she will be having nine shooting days in Singapore and four shooting days in the Philippines for the project.

Aside from Karylle, it was reported that other Filipino actors, Simon Ibarra and Micah Munoz, are also having a guest role in the series. Simon appeared in several Kapamilya primetime series including Tayong Dalawa and My Binondo Girl where he played Jolo Revilla's father while Micah plays Papa Chen's family driver Joma in Be Careful With My Heart.

Launched in 2010, Point of Entry is said to be a top-rating series in Singapore. Point of Entry is an action drama about an elite team of ICA special agents, and their fight to keep Singapore’s borders safe from smuggling and illegal immigration by land, sea and air. 

The show stars Singaporean actors Carl Ng, Pamelyn Chee, Devarajan, Fadhilah Samsudin, Bernard Tan, Jourdan Lee, Constance Song and Melody Chen

Karylle's international appeal was first tested in the Pan-Asian TV series The Kitchen Musical which also stars Christian Bautista and other Pinoy actors including Arthur Acuña, Ikey Canoy and Thou Reyes. For her role as Maddie in the series, Karylle was nominated for Best Actress in the 52nd Monte Carlo TV Festival. 

The Kitchen Musical also won a bronze  medal for best performance for the entire cast at the 2012 New York Festivals.

Lesbian and Gay Sibling Portrayed on MMK This April 14

While the issue on third sex remains to be a sensitive topic in the Philippines, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” is going to cater the life story of a gay named Bonsai (Janus del Prado) and his quest for acceptance this Saturday (April 14).

After finally having the guts to admit to his family that he is gay, Bonsai left for Manila to live the life that he had always wanted and forget the pains that his family has given him. As he enjoys the freedom of expressing his sexuality, Bonsai became shocked and terrified with the sight of his youngest sister Lencie (Trina Legaspi) as a lesbian. With the fear of seeing his sister experience what he has been through, how will Bonsai protect Lencie from the discrimination and judgment of their family? Will the siblings ever get the acceptance and approval of their own family?

The “MMK” episode also includes Sharmaine Suarez, Gloria Sevilla, Ismael Clavero, Kyline Alcantara, Jong Cuenco, CJ Navato, Simon Ibarra, and Amante Pulido. It was researched by Alexndra Mae Martin, written by Benson Logronio and directed by Nuel Naval.
