National TV Ratings (December 15): Box Office Movie The Mistress Still a Hit on TV; Tops Sunday Viewing

Box office movie The Mistress starring Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz had its Philippine free TV premiere on December 15 and it topped Sunday viewing garnering 20.2% TV rating nationwide according to Kantar Media/TNS.

Meanwhile, Gandang Gabi Vice has overtaken Korina's Rated K to become the 3rd most-watched program. Pepito Manaloto ranked 2nd nationwide. Check out the Top 20 programs for Dec 15 below.

31st Luna Awards 2013 Winners | Angel Locsin Wins Best Actress, The Mistress Big Winner

The 31st Luna Awards (2013) happened June 1 and the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) has given 12 Luna trophies to outstanding films and people behind the successful movies of the year.

31st Luna Awards 2013 Winners

Star Cinema's The Mistress was big winner of the night, clinching half of the trophies given away. It won Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Actor for John Lloyd Cruz, Best Supporting Actor for Ronaldo Valdez and Best Supporting Actress for Hilda Koronel. 

Angel Locsin won Best Actress, her fourth Best Actress trophy for her performance in One More Try. Meanwhile, the last five awards were brought home by El Presidente, including the most coveted Best Picture award.

31st Luna Awards 2013 Nominees: The Mistress and One More Try Get Most Nominations

The Film Academy of the Philippines has announced the final nominees in the 12 categories of the 31st FAP Luna Awards 2013. The Mistress, garnering 11 out of 12 nominations (missing only in the production design category) and One More Try (with 8 nods) led all the nominees this year.

Angel Locsin will once again vie against Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos, as well as Angelica Panganiban, Pokwang and Bea Alonzo in the Best Actress category while Dingdong Dantes will be competing against Coco Martin, Eddie Garcia, John Lloyd Cruz and Aga Muhlach for Best Actor.

29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2013 Nominees

29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2013 NomineesThe Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) has revealed the nominees for the 2013 Star Awards for Movies. Star Cinema dominated the list of nominees for the 29th edition of Star Awards.

Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 Best Picture One More Try and The Mistress led this year's nominees, with a total of 13 nominations each, including acting nods for the cast. 

Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Gina Alajar, Jodi Sta. Maria and Bea Alonzo will be vying for the Best Actress trophy while John Lloyd Cruz, Dingdong Dantes, Eddie Garcia, Aga Muhlach, Jericho Rosales, Jeorge Estregan and Coco Martin will go head to head for the Best Actor award.

The 2013 Star Awards for Movies will be held on March 10 at the AFP Theater in Quezon City. It will be broadcast on ABS-CBN's Sunday's Best on March 17.

'The Mistress' is the Highest-Grossing Filipino Film for 2012, 3rd Highest-Grossing Film of All Time

Star Cinema's The Mistress starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo is the highest-grossing Filipino film for 2012 with a box office gross of P262.82 million. The Olivia Lamasan movie ranked third in the list of highest-grossing local movies of all time, next to The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin and No Other Woman.
