Shamcey Supsup, Lloyd Lee Wedding Photos and Video

Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup tied the knot with businessman Lloyd Lee on Sunday, December 29. The wedding was held at the Church of the Risen Lord inside the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City.

Shamcey Supsup walked down the aisle wearing her Cherry Veric bridal gown with Christina Perri's A Thousand Years in the background. Meanwhile, her groom, Lloyd Lee is waiting at the altar in his champagne-colored suit.

The wedding was attended by Shamcey and Lloyd's family and close friends, as well as Shamcey's fellow beauty queens Venus Raj, Ariella Arida, Bianca Manalo, Bea Rose Santiago, MJ Lastimosa, Queenie Rehman, Elaine Kay Moll, Pia Wurtzbach, the bride's friends from Miss Universe 2011 Valerie Lim of Singapore and Sora Chong of Korea, and Aces and Queens mentors led by Jonas Gaffud.

The wedding reception followed at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel ballroom.

Shamcey and Lloyd will fly to Europe in March for their honeymoon. The place was Shamcey's request as she's never been to the continent before. For the meantime, the newly-weds will focus on the completion of their new house.

The couple first met in May 2011 during Shamcey's birthday party. From then on, the two went on dates and eventually developed a relationship. Two years later, Shamcey and Lloyd got engaged.

Maalaala Mo Kaya will empower TV viewers this Saturday (November 16) as it retells the life story of Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj. Discover the trials that Venus had to go through before she represented the Philippines in the international beauty pageant.

Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup Grilled on TNT; Venus Regrets Relationship with Andrei Felix?

Broadcast journalist Anthony “Tunying” grills beauty queens Venus Raj and Shamcey Supsup as he asks them daring questions about their controversial relationships this Thursday (July 25) in “Tapatan ni Tunying.”

Venus and Shamcey have certainly brought back the Philippine’s glory in the most prestigious global beauty pageant, Miss Universe. However, while both of them have become iconic beauties, their respective love life turned totally different.

Miss Universe 2011 third runner up, Shamcey, is now engaged to her two-year Filipino-Chinese boyfriend, Lloyd Lee. “I’ve waited for the right time. I’m only going to a relationship when I’m ready to settle,” said Shamcey.

The couple was even more delighted after Lloyd’s conservative family easily accepted Shamcey, despite her being non-Chinese.

Venus, meanwhile, took a 180-degree turn when Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner up ended her one-year romance with TV host, Andrei Felix last May. Speculations surfaced that they broke up because Venus’ family was against her relationship with Andrei.

“We came to the point where my siblings and I were fighting. They were asking me to choose between him and them. When I chose him, my siblings and I cut our communication for few months. I missed my family,” Venus confirmed.

In the episode, Shamcey also takes the viewers to her wedding preparations, while Venus opens the doors of her never-before seen condominium unit and her newly built house in Bicol. Venus will also answer rumors about her career, particularly why she is no longer part of “Umagang Kay Ganda” and “ASAP.”

Venus Raj, Andrei Felix Break up Confirmed

Miss Universe 2010 4th runner up Venus Raj has confirmed that she and Andrei Felix has parted ways and no longer in a relationship. Venus admitted the break up on Twitter.

"Yes it's true," Raj confirmed in her official Twitter account.

Venus also said that the break up happened last week of April. The beauty queen-turned-host also clarified that she did not announce the separation on Kris TV's May 9 episode, even off-cam, where she was a guest along with mentor Jonas Gaffud.

Netizens, upon learning the news about the Venus-Andrei break up took to social networks cracking on jokes that Andrei might be a victim of the "Janine Tugonon" thing. Venus, however, stressed that she didn't take a cue from fellow beauty queen Janine Tugonon, who also recently broke up with boyfriend Jaypee Santos, the root of the "na-Janine Tugonon" term.

According to Andrei Felix as quoted in a DZMM report, it was Venus who initiated the break up over the phone. The guy reportedly believed that they can still fix the problem.

Although Andrei and Venus have already confirmed and talked about the break up, the former couple of one year were mum on the real reason why they headed to splitsville. There are speculations that Venus' family is against her relationship with Andrei. The beauty queen's mother, Esther Bayonito in an interview, however said that she is supportive of her daughter's relationship with Andrei. 

The special relationship between Venus and Andrei was developed while working together on the ABS-CBN morning show Umagang Kay Ganda. Their morning show stint did not last as they were booted out from the show. Rumor has it that the two were removed from the show because of too much public display of affection (PDA).

Binibining Pilipinas 2013 Primer: "The Golden Road to the Crown" Airs April 7 on Sunday's Best

Get to know more of the 50 Binibining Pilipinas 2013 candidates as beauty queens Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon bring you the pageant’s primer entitled “The Golden Road to the Crown” on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best, which airs on April 7, 9:45pm.

“The Golden Road to the Crown” shares the candidates’ unique personalities and touching life stories in exclusive interviews. It also imparts activities and workshops they underwent to further enhance their skills. Among the personalities who mentored them are ramp diva and 1992 Binibining Pilipinas-Maja International, Marina Benipayo, who gave them personality development training, and veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez, who trained them for the question-and-answer portion.

Janine Tugonon in Miss Universe 2012 Q&A Portion

The Miss Universe 2012 Pageant night was held on December 19 (December 20 in Manila) at the Planet Hollywod Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and the home candidate, Miss USA Olivia Culpo was crowned the 61st Miss Universe (For the complete list of winners and related article, click here).

The Philippines' Janine Tugonon placed 1st runner-up, completing three-peat in the Top 5 of Miss Universe. She's just one question away from grabbing that Diamond Nexus crown and we knew she gave one of the best answers from among the Top 5 finalists. Anyhow, her feat elevated the Philippines to the elite club of top 5 three-peaters in the history of Miss Universe: USA, Venezuela and Puerto Rico.

Janine Tugonon was given a Twitter question from judge Nigel Barker: "As an international ambassador, do you believe that speaking English should be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe? Why or why not?"

She answered: "For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language. It's being able to influence and inspire other people. As long as your heart wants to serve and you have a strong mind to show people, then you can be Miss Universe."

With that alone, she could've won but the stars had already written Miss USA Olivia Culpo's fate. Janine Tugonon still made us Filipinos proud. It might be 'U' for the Miss Universe crown as we already had completed the quartet of Q-R-S-T placement in the said pageant.

Afraid and petrified, they attacked the frat boy who became unconscious. This gave the three a time to marvel at the young frat boy’s enigmatic boyish looks and amusing hot body. As they go on with their fantasies, the decision to keep the guy with arms and legs tied in the chair and hold him hostage will challenge their views on life, love and friendship all in one night. Set on the eve of Aug 23, 2010 of the new Noynoy administration when 2 "MAJOR MAJOR" events are underway: the heated bus hostage-taking of HK nationals in Quirino Grand Stand, and Phil. Candidate Ms. Venus Raj pressured to bring home the coveted crown to vindicate her country mired in shame in the international community.

Markki Stroem is a 'Beki' in Slumber Party Movie (Video Teaser)

Singer-actor Markki Stroem plays a gay role in the indie movie Slumber Party, one of the finalists at the 2012 Cinema One Originals digital film festival. One of the movie's leads, the role is quite new to Markki who is also known to be a hunky model.

Slumber Party is a true-blue Pinoy satire film "set on the eve of August 23, 2010 of the new Noynoy administration when 2 'MAJOR MAJOR' events are underway: the heated bus hostage-taking of HK nationals in Quirino Grand Stand, and Philippine Candidate Ms. Venus Raj pressured to bring home the coveted crown to vindicate her country mired in shame in the international community."

Xyriel Manabat and Coney Reyes Reunite in 'Wansapanataym' this October 20

After their 2011 hit drama series “100 Days to Heaven,” award-winning seasoned actress Coney Reyes and 2012 FAMAS Best Child Actress Xyriel Manabat will reunite this Saturday (October 20) for a special mission in ABS-CBN’s top-rating fantasy-drama anthology “Wansapanataym.” 

Xyriel and Coney will portray as granddaughter and grandmother in the special episode titled ‘Bye Bye Bangungot.’ The episode will feature the story of a young girl named Audrey (Xyriel) who always has nightmares because she is not fond of praying. 

Because of her sleeping problems, Audrey is given a dreamcatcher that can protect her from her bad dreams. Will Audrey finally learn how powerful prayers are when the dreamcatcher gets broken? 

Together with Xyriel and Coney in ‘Bye Bye Bangungot’ are Venus Raj, Bugoy Cariño, and Louise Bernardo. It is written by Yam Tanangco and directed by Darnel Villaflor.

Regal Films' 'Pridyider' Uncut Trailer Released!

Regal Films has released an uncut trailer for the upcoming horror movie Pridyider, a full version of one of the three episodes in the original Shake, Rattle and Roll 28 years ago. Janice De Belen will return in this remake as the matriarch Mrs. Benitez.

Pridyider also stars Andi Eigenmann as Tina Benitez, JM De Guzman as James Dean Co, Joel Torre as Mr. Benitez, Ronnie Lazaro as Detective Albay, Bekimon as Agatha, Baron Geisler as Dick, and introducing Venus Raj as Celine in her very first film. Directed by Rico Maria Ilarde, Pridyider will hit theaters soon.

Here is the plot of Pridyider (2012):

Tina Benitez is a returning citizen. She’s been living abroad since childhood and she has not set foot in the country until now. She goes home to an empty house she inherited from her parents. Being sent abroad at such an early age, she does not have any memories of the house. But she cherishes it because it’s the only thing her deceased parents left her. However, strange things start to happen inside the house particularly in the kitchen where an old, antique refrigerator can be found. At first, Tina dismisses the incidents, thinking it’s just her imagination. But soon enough, she witnesses the ref attacking and even consuming one of her guests. Scared of what other harm the ref can do, she tries to get rid of it but to no avail. The refrigerator is unbelievably heavy. It cannot be lifted nor removed from its place. With some information from her neighbor and newfound friend Celine, Tina learns about the background of the refrigerator and its connection to her deceased parents. As Tina tries to solve the mystery of the refrigerator, she also learns more about her parents’ disappearance and death. Her childhood friend James also joins her in her quest for the truth. Together, they uncover Tina’s unknown past and also discover how to create a “bomb” that can counter the evil powers of the refrigerator. But will they succeed in defeating it? Someone from Tina’s past also unexpectedly shows up to help them. But will Tina be willing to risk the life of this person, just to extinguish the devil inside the ref?

Kantar Media (July 20-22) TV Ratings: Venus Raj's MMK Episode Tops Weekend Viewing

ABS-CBN shows continue to dominate Kantar Media's nationwide TV ratings based on the latest data covering the period of July 20-22, 2012.

Be Careful With My Heart's TV ratings soars high with 23.4%, its highest rating to date. Two Wives is also creating waves in the morning with 16.7% TV ratings, beating all GMA-7 shows last Friday, July 20. ABS-CBN clinched the top 8 slots that day, with Walang Hanggan unbeatable at no. 1.

Meanwhile, Venus Raj's MMK episode was the most-watched program last Saturday, July 21 with another historic 40.9% rating. Rated K is the number 1 program on Sunday, July 22.

Dolphy's MMK Episode Rules Weekend TV Ratings

The re-run of Dolphy’s ‘Bisekleta’ episode in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” was the most-watched TV program nationwide last weekend. Based on Kantar Media’s data last Saturday (July 14), Comedy King’s last “MMK” episode garnered 40% national TV ratings. In the story, Dolphy portrayed the role of a father who struggled to make his family whole again after spending 40 years of his life in prison.

Meanwhile, “MMK” features another heartwarming tale this Saturday (July 21) with the life story of Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj. “MMK” is Venus’ first acting stint. Discover the trials that Venus had to go through before she joined Miss Universe and how she managed to handle the public’s criticism on her physical appearance. How did she handle her newfound found after her ‘major-major’ achievement?

Together with Venus in the “MMK” episode are Malou de Guzman, Gio Alvarez, Amy Nobleza, Perla Bautista, Simon Ibarra, and Marielle Pamintuan. The episode was written by Maan Dimaculangan-Fampulme and directed by Nuel Crisostomo Naval.
